Champlain College has appointed Chris Montagnino as Vice President of Champlain College Online.
Montagnino comes with nearly 25 years of experience in adult and online higher education, building successful leadership teams, and launching and scaling online programs. As Vice President, Montagnino will lead the online division of Champlain College, which features more than 60 career-focused degree programs in business, cybersecurity, healthcare, and information technology.
“I am excited to welcome Chris to Champlain College,” said President Alex Hernandez. “Throughout her career, she has worked to increase access to high-quality and affordable higher education with truly impressive results. Her extensive experience in developing and delivering online programs will position students for success in all aspects of their academic journey.”
Prior to joining Champlain College, Montagnino worked as the Vice President of University Partnerships at Academic Partnerships, where she built strategic collaborations to help institutions develop, market, optimize, and grow online offerings. In the two-plus decades Montagnino has spent in higher education, she has worked with Excelsior University, University of Phoenix, and Herzing University. Montagnino holds both a BA and MA in Political Science from The University of Texas at El Paso and a MA in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
