Spring Housing Update #1C: Students currently residing at 194 St Paul Street

Dear students,

As President Akande announced earlier today, this spring, we will welcome back those students currently living on campus and anticipate being able to accommodate additional requests for housing. Residence halls will continue to operate at the existing lower density model of only single and double rooms. Priority for open or available beds will be given to seniors; however, we will strive to accommodate as many students as safely possible given reduced occupancy.

As a student who currently lives in 194 St Paul St this fall, please review the following:

  • As you are aware, the current 194 St Paul housing agreement is for 9 months, ending May 2021. Your current assignment will be rolled over into Spring 2021.
  • If you wish to request to switch apartments, email Carolyn Roberts.
  • All available 194 St Paul bedrooms will be filled as needed. If you know your suite will have a vacancy in Spring 2021 and wish to pull in another student (seniors, juniors and sophomores only), please email Carolyn Roberts by October 25. The student who is requested to be pulled in must appropriately apply for housing on time if not already living on campus. New residents of 194 St Paul may move in at spring semester opening and not earlier.
  • Students who planned to study abroad in Montreal, Dublin, or another program this spring should refer to the email(s) they received from the Office of International Education to determine their housing needs for Spring 2021.
  • December graduates: We will receive the list of graduating seniors from the Registrar and will remove spring housing assignments. No action to cancel spring housing is necessary. December graduates are expected to completely move out by November 22 at noon.
  • Residents of 194 St. Paul Street are not required to move out of their room at Thanksgiving. More important details regarding winter break will be provided in separate communication. Please remember all residents who travel out of state must adhere to the Vermont state guidelines regarding quarantine.

Thank you for your attention! Please email reslife@champlain.edu with any questions.
