Champlain Weekend: Class of 2020 In-Person Commencement Ceremony

Hello Alumni of the Class of 2020!

Thank you for participating in the survey we sent you recently regarding programming to celebrate and commemorate YOU. We appreciated all your wonderful feedback.

Based on the results of the survey, we are excited to announce that during Champlain Weekend (October 22-24, 2021) Champlain College will host a Commencement Celebration for you and your family on Saturday, October 23rd. This will include a ceremony (featuring a procession, remarks from me, having your name read, walking across the stage in regalia, shaking my hand, having your picture taken, and hooding of our Master’s Degree graduates), followed by a celebratory reception.

Please note, the Commencement Celebration during Champlain Weekend will be the ONLY ceremony planned for the Class of 2020, following the cancellation of your May 2020 in-person ceremony due to COVID-19.

In order for us to move forward with planning the Commencement Celebration, please fill out this Registration Form by August 13th. This registration form is ONLY for the Commencement Celebration, and not for all of Champlain Weekend. We will notify you separately when Champlain Weekend registration opens, which we expect to be at the end of July.

Are you interested in joining the Commencement Celebration of the Class of 2020 planning committee? If so, please email champlainweekend@champlain.edu

If you have any questions related to the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration, please email graduation@champlain.edu.

Learn more at our Champlain Weekend website and stay tuned for more detailed updates – including a schedule and registration information – throughout the summer.

We can’t wait to welcome you home to Champlain this October!
