The ravages of war in Ukraine are creating a refugee crisis, famine and the destruction of the way of life of the Ukrainian people. It is also disrupting life for the Russian people as well. Why did Russia invade Ukraine and what does it hope to achieve? Who are the lead actors in this crisis? What are the prospects for peace? How is the war affecting the global community? A panel of Champlain College faculty will shed light on the crisis and help sift through the facts and fallacies permeating the news. After a brief presentation by the panel, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. Learn more about this crisis and get a better understanding of its global impact. Come and learn how it will continue to affect all aspects of your life and your future.
