Students will have the opportunity to learn the basics of block printing, while exploring themes of the book The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. We will discuss the importance of imagery and what images and themes are important to the current moment. Students will leave with prints, and a re-usable block print that they create that day. Students should either read the book or watch the film adaptation before attending the event (both are available through the library). This event has limited space.
