First, we fill the Morgan Room in Aiken Hall with filmmakers, writers, photographers, musicians, you name it. Then, we show new short films by Champlain’s version of Dee Rees and Federico Fellini for about 10-15 minutes. Then, the young Margaret Atwoods and Ursula Le Guins take over for equal time. After the writers, we’re going to wave in the Cindy Shermans and Gordon Parks; at which time, we’ll have another 15 for the Ivan Nevilles and Laurie Andersons.. The evening moves on under this umbrella until no young artist is left behind, until all walk away hand in hand into the firefly thick Generation Z night. That’s the way we roll.
