Champlain College students are hosting a Roots for Refugees fundraising popup dinner at the Common Roots Homestead to benefit Syrian refugees on Sunday,
December 3.
As part of Champlain’s Core curriculum and hands-on experiential learning, students have the opportunity to travel abroad. In March 2023, five Champlain
students visited Jordan and spent time at the Azraq Education Center, which provides life changing education and services to Syrian refugee children forced to
flee their homes due to conflict. The Center’s goal is to provide students with skills that enable them to graduate, find jobs, and establish roots in Jordan.
The Champlain students have remained connected to the Azraq Education Center and are engaged in fundraising efforts to support its education efforts.
