Dennis Gillan from Half a Sorrow Foundation

Champlain College will be hosting a well-known speaker, Dennis Gillan of the Half a Sorrow Foundation. His message is about destigmatizing mental health, preventing suicide, and caring for self and others. He will share his story of losing two brothers to suicide, his own journey with mental health struggles, and practical ways to support someone in mental distress and take action. Join us for free ice cream sundaes at 3:30 and stay for this powerful experience. In-person attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a Fitbit or one of 5 “Dare to CARE” packages; drawing at the end of the event. This event is part of Champlain College’s new Dare to CARE initiative, where we dare to care for ourselves and others. This an in-person and virtual event. Livestream link below; passcode is 639926.
