Each student may have one (1) guest to enter their residence hall to assist with move-in. The guest must meet all State of Vermont travel restrictions.
The ability for students to visit with each other in Champlain residence halls will be phased in over the course of the semester. It is important that we establish the overall health of our community in the early weeks of the semester before opening up our residence halls.
At the start of the year, and until further notice, students may ONLY invite guests who live in the same residence hall to their room. It is our goal that, at some point in the fall semester, all students participating in campus life (both on and off campus students who are being tested and complying with other health measures included in the Health Pledge) will be able to visit friends in residence halls across campus. Updates to the guest policy will come by email from the Dean of Students.
At all times, there is a maximum of two guests per room, in addition to the resident(s), at any given time.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, outside visitors who are not affiliated with Champlain College will not be permitted on campus after move-out day. This includes family members.
These restrictions may shift to be more lenient or more strict as the pandemic evolves. Any changes in the guest policy will be communicated via email by the Dean of Students.
