Students, faculty and staff are required to wear a mask at all times, with the exception of private offices, assigned residence hall rooms, while eating, or when outdoors and physically distanced by at least six feet from all individuals. Masks must be worn properly, covering the nose and mouth. Face masks with exhalation valves and neck gaiters are not permitted.

Community members are also expected to comply with the State of Vermont Mask Mandate when off campus.

Students, faculty and staff will be provided with two cloth masks upon arrival to campus. Students should bring 8-10 masks with them. CDC guidelines recommend washing cloth masks after each use, so it will be important to have enough on hand to get you through to laundry day. If you are unable to bring a supply of cloth masks with you, let us know by emailing feedback@champlain.edu and we can help.

How do I request an accommodation or medical exemption regarding the mask policy?

Please contact Erin Ferrara, Associate Director of Accessibility Services, to discuss your needs and the accommodation process. Erin can be reached at (802) 865-5764 or by email at eferrara@champlain.edu.
