Fall Update 10B: Select Your Move-In Date & Time

The following message is specific to 194 St. Paul Street residents

Dear 194 St. Paul Street Resident,

We are so excited to welcome you to campus this fall!

Please read this email carefully as it provides the instructions you will need to reserve a move-in date and time. Please note: all residential students are required to register for a move-in time before arriving on campus. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You will not receive access to your residence hall without an Express Check-in reservation.

Move-In Time Reservation Process

To register for a move-in date and time, follow this two-step process:

Step 1. Log in to THD (The Housing Director) and submit the application “Move-In Schedule.”

Step 2. On the THD home page, choose your Express Check-in Date and Time. (Express Check-in will not be visible to you until you have submitted the Move-In Schedule Application.)

Upon submitting the Move-In Schedule Application (Step 1), you will receive a confirmation

email to your Champlain MyMail account. Be sure to save your confirmation email as it will

provide important details about the move-in process.

All students, please note:

  • Each Express Check-In time block is limited based on per-day capacity for testing and to limit congestion in the residence halls
  • Once a time block is filled, it will no longer be available to you for you to select.
  • You will receive the information necessary to schedule your first COVID-19 test upon arrival to campus.
  • If you believe you will need an alternate arrival date, please first complete Step 1 by submitting your Move-In Schedule Application, then read your confirmation email. After you have fully read your confirmation email, then reach out to reslife@champlain.edu

In order to limit congestion at entrances and in the elevators, we ask that you do your best to limit your move-in activities to one hour.

Quarantine students, please note: Because we have previous summer residents residing in 194 St Paul, we are unable to allow all newly arriving residents to move in to their own apartment during their arrival quarantine. Quarantining and non-quarantining students may not commingle in the same apartment during your arrival quarantine.

  • Depending on the apartment you have been assigned to for Fall 2020, you may be required to complete your quarantine in a different, temporary location.
  • If you are assigned to a temporary location, you will not have access to the apartment you have been assigned for Fall 2020 until your quarantine is complete: this means that you will not be able to drop-off your belongings in your fall apartment. Further, we are not equipped to help with your move to your fall apartment after your quarantine is finished.
  • For these reasons, it is to your benefit to reconsider if you are able to quarantine at home if at all possible.
