For college-bound students like you, the Common Application is a game changer. Say goodbye to the time-consuming process of filling out separate applications for each college. With the Common App, you can streamline the application process and save valuable time to focus on other aspects of your college search process.

Step-by-Step Guide to Registering for the Common App

  1. Start today by visiting the official Common App website at www.commonapp.org.
  2. Create your account—it’s quick and easy! By creating your profile, you’re taking the first step toward your future. Look at you go!
  3. Showcase your unique talents, achievements, and passions. Add your personal information, academic background, and extracurricular activities to paint a complete picture of who you are as an individual.
  4. Include at least one personal statement, or you may choose to include a full-length essay. Either way, use this as an opportunity to express yourself and stand out from the crowd. Show us what makes you special and how you can contribute to the community. Don’t hold back!

How to add Champlain College to your Common App list

  1. Log In to Your Common App Account: Visit the official Common App website and log in to your account using the credentials you created during the registration process.
  2. Navigate to the “Colleges” Section: Once you’re logged in, you’ll see a menu on the left side of the page. Click on the “Colleges” tab to access the college search and selection page.
  3. Search for Champlain College: Type “Champlain College” in the search bar and press Enter. The search results will show several colleges with similar names (so be sure to specifically select “Champlain College”).
  4. Add Champlain College to “My Colleges”: Look for the “Add to My Colleges” button. It is usually located on the right side of the college information page. 
  5. Complete and Submit Your Application: You are ready to submit your application once you have added Champlain College to your list and completed all required sections of the Common App. Be sure to double-check all information before submitting.
