Here’s the coolest part: you’ll hear directly from Deans and Program Directors about our unique Upside-Down Curriculum and how it touches every major. It’s designed to give you hands-on learning from day one. At the Late Summer Open House, you’ll begin to narrow down your academic interest. You’ll also learn about the special community we foster here at Champlain, where everyone is welcome and respected for who they are.
Plus, if/when you discover during the Open House that Champlain is your dream school, you can apply right then and there. Imagine going home with one less thing on your to-do list. So mark your calendars and let’s make this day count!

What sets Fall Open House apart?
Our Fall Open Houses are your VIP passes to enjoy the beauty of Vermont in the fall and our vibrant community at Champlain. Nature puts on a colorful show around campus and in the surrounding area that you simply have to see to believe.
Imagine a leisurely stroll, taking in the charm of our Victorian-era residence halls, once occupied by historic figures like First Lady Grace Coolidge. Your Insta-worthy photo from the library balcony is not to be missed, and this time of year, the majestic mountains and serene Lake Champlain will have stunning fall foliage in the background.
But this event isn’t just about sightseeing; it’s about hands-on learning. You’ll have the option to select your major of interest and hear directly from faculty and students in that major while you’re here. Think of Fall Open House as a sneak peek at what your classroom experience might be like. You’ll also hear about how your major of interest is designed to give not only you the skills you need for a rewarding career, but employers the talent they say they need to succeed well into the future. We’ll also give you the inside scoop on internship opportunities and impressive job placement rates, so you can start your career with all the confidence in the world.
